Week 7 Fantasy Football Hot 'n' Not - Start'em Sit'em

HOT

QB

Andrew Luck – This is a bounce back game for Andrew Luck after his streak of 3 straight games of multiple TD passes was broken with zero against the Jets. This week he faces Cleveland who allows the 5th most fantasy points, tied for most TD’s and 2nd most yards to QB’s.

Ryan Fitzpatrick – Another bounce back candidate, after averaging 3 TD’s in his first 4 games, he’s had zero in last two. Coming to town are the Titans who allow 3rd most fantasy points and 4th most yards to QB’s

Honorable mentions:  Josh Freeman and John Skelton

RB

Doug Martin and Legarrette Blount – Saints allow most fantasy points to RB’s.

Felix Jones – Normally a 3rd down passing situation back, Felix will get some early down work this week with DeMarco Murray out. Carolina allows the 5th most points to RB’s along with 3rd most receptions to RB’s and MOST receiving yards to RB’s  Wavier and Bench fodder meets top 10 upside RB in week 7.

Honorable mentions:  Ben Tate and Vick Ballard

WR

Lance Moore – With Jimmy Graham likely out, Moore should see a bump in targets. He’s practicing fully this week after being out the week before the bye with his hamstring.  The Saints face the Bucs this week and the matchup is ripe for the Saints passing game. Tampa Bay allows the 6th most points and 3rd most yards to WR’s. Moore has WR2 upside in PPR.

Donnie Avery – Donnie Avery saw 13 targets in Week 6. This week he faces the Browns allowing the most receptions, most TD’s and 2nd most fantasy pts to WRs. With Joe Haden likely to shadow Reggie Wayne, you can confidently flex or start Avery as a WR3.

Honorable mentions:  Kendall Wright and Jeremy Kerley

TE

Scott Chandler – After scoring 4 TD’s in his first 4 games, Chandler has come back to earth in his last two outings. However this week he faces the Titan’s and they allow the most fantasy points to TE’s. That equates to most receiving TD’s, most receiving yards, most receiving targets and most receptions to TE’s.

Honorable mentions:  Dustin Keller and Dennis Pitta

NOT

QB

Matthew Stafford – Stafford hasn’t had a multi touchdown game all year. Even Megatron only has 1 TD all year. This week Stafford faces the Chicago Bears on the road and they allow give up the fewest fantasy points to QB’s.

Watch out: Cam Newton

RB

Shonn Greene – He had more points in Week6 than he did in the first 5 weeks combined. This week faces New England and they allow 6th fewest points to RB’s and they will force the Jets to pass to win.

Watch out: Mikel Leshoure

WR

Steve Smith – Dallas is allowing the second fewest points to WR’s and Smith did nothing against Seattle’s press man coverage and that’s exactly what Carr and Claiborne will play.

Watch out: James Jones

TE

Fred Davis – Fred Davis hasn’t scored a TD all year and only gained more than 55 yards twice in 6 weeks including a 14 and 38 yard performance. This week facing the Giants that allow 3rd fewest points to TE’s.

Watch out: Kyle Rudolph
